Once Upon a Pony Birthday Parties

Transform your child's birthday party into an unforgettable adventure with Once Upon a Pony LLC's home or ranch birthday parties. Our pony-themed parties include pony rides, pony painting, and the option to transform the pony into a unicorn, princess, or knight. With pony delivery to your desired location, we can host parties at farms, barns, or outdoors for a magical experience your child will cherish.

Horse Boarding

Looking for a ranch that offers a variety of amenities for your horse? Look no further! Our ranch has everything your horse needs to thrive, including single or community stalls, a pasture, a creek, an arena, a round pen and an obstacle course. Our trainer lives on site to provide guidance and support and monitor your horses well being. Our free roam ranch offers plenty of opportunities for your horse to explore different terrain types. With 24/7 hay, a specialized diet available, and feed twice daily, your horse will be well taken care of. Included in boarding is our barn with electricity and running water. We also have plenty of shade trees to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your horse to call home.

Photo Shoots

Capture the magic of your special moments with our professional photo shoot services. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, sweet sixteen, graduation, or Quinceanera, we'll help you create memories with our animals that will last a lifetime. Our stunning locations include fairy woods, traditional Texas ranch, rock formations, and creeks, and we even offer the possibility for unicorn photo shoots for a truly unique experience. Book your session today and let us help you capture your most cherished memories. We do not have a photographer on site, please book your own. 

Horse Training

Transform your horse into a well-trained happy companion with our professional horse training services at Southerly Winds Ranch. Our expert trainers will work with your horse to develop the skills and behavior needed for a strong and respectful bond. Whether you have a young horse or one that needs some extra guidance, our training program can help bring out the best in your equine partner.

Riding Lessons

Looking to improve your horse riding skills or get familiar with horses? Our experienced trainers offer lessons in both Dressage and Western Riding, as well as horse familiarization sessions. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, a toddler or an adult; we have a program that suits your needs. Contact us today to schedule your first lesson!

Holiday Camps and Ranch Days

Welcome to our horse camp! We offer a variety of programs to help you learn all about horses, from horse care and horsemanship to riding lessons. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the way, whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider. We also have chickens and donkeys on our farm, and even offer horse painting. With our vacation camp packages we will also be including arts and crafts, one on one riding lessons as well as age appropriate riding experiences. Come join us for a multi day fun and educational experience!

Birthday Parties

We can arrange a pony delivery to your door! We can also deliver multiple ponies or horses to your location! Pony delivery charges are on a case by case basis. Please give us a call and we can arrange a quote for you! 

  • 1 Hour and 1 Pony: $150

  • 2 Hour and 1 Pony: $240

  • 3 Hour and 1 Pony: $320

Any requests over 3 hours will require at least 2 ponies. Ponies are required a 15 minute break in any 1 hour of working. 

  • 1 Hour and 2 Ponies: $240

  • 2 Hours and 2 Ponies: $440

  • 3 Hours and 2 Ponies: $600

Please note!

* Property size must support the number of horses requested and parking directly at the event must be available for a truck and trailer.

* Parties with over 8 children should book at least 2 ponies, over 15 children 3 ponies or 2 ponies and 1 horse. 

* Prices for parties over 21 people, please contact us before. 

* Please check out our pony add on packages, paint a pony, unicorn options, as well as a funny donkey!

*Weight limits on our small pony is 65 pounds maximum,, the white unicorn is 120 pounds

* We can also provide full size horses

* Our mischievous donkey "Sunny" is also available for everything but riding, she is still too young!

Party with us at Southerly Winds Ranch

  • Our Ranch parties have two options! *Reminder: All of our ponies/horses must have a 15 minute break after 1 hour of use. 

  • Parties over 30 people need to be coordinated before booking a reservation and extra charges will apply. 

Option 1: Pet and ride only

  • The ponies will be saddled and ready to be lead lined when you arrive.

  • 1 Hour and 1 pony: $130 (up to eight children)

  • 1 Hour and 2 ponies $200

  • 1 Hour and 3 ponies: $280

Option 2: Full Birthday Party at our ranch

  • Includes Picnic tables with benches, at least 1 pony/horse, (brushing, petting, lead line on a pony/horse, more add ons available!)

  • Requested/reserved times include your set up and clean up time if you choose the "Decorate your own event" option. 

Decorate your own event

  • Bring your own decorations, food and drinks! You must clean up the party area yourself.

2 Hours and 1 Pony/Horse: Includes petting, brushing, decorating and riding 1 of our ponies/horses. $370

2 Hours and 2 Ponies/Horses: Includes petting, brushing, decorating and riding 2 of our ponies/horses. $430

3 Hours and 1 Pony/Horse: Includes lots of pony time! Petting, brushing, decorating and riding 1 of our ponies/horses. $490

3 Hours and 2 Ponies/Horses: The best time!! Petting, brushing and decorating 2 of our ponies/horses. $550

3 Hours and 3 Ponies: Our biggest package and the most time with our ponies/horses. 3 hours with three ponies/horses! $610

​Party Add-Ons:

  • We decorate for your party (Contact us for your options), we can also use your decorations (please call for more information). $75

  • You can bring or order your own food! Please clean up after your party!

  • Paint a pony is $40 dollars. Children can paint a pony with paint that we provide for you! 

  • Unicorn Pony: Horn is free of charge (pony paint packages available when warm outside, we have colorful mane and tail extensions for colder days)

    • Tutu, numerous colors available: (make a custom tutu for your child to take home; $100)​

    • We paint 1 pony, 1 color or in rainbow colors for you: (painted mane, tail and legs): $40

    • Hay ride around the ranch: Adds 15 minutes to your party, up to 10 children per ride. $35

    • Add Sunny the Donkey! We let our mischievous donkey cause chaos at your party! $25 for 1 hour, $40 for 2 hours and $50 for 3 hours.

Ranch Days: "Spend a few hours with our furry friends!"

  • Children will learn to: care for horses, feed horses/farm animals, brushing/styling horses, painting horses dependent on weather. Specialized riding/training depending on children's ages.

  • Specific times are by appointment only. 2 hours: $120 1 child, $165 2 children, $225 3 children

  • 3 hours: 1 child $155, 2 children $225, 3 children $300. 

  • Children must be siblings for promotion price to apply.

 Holiday Camp "A week of horsing around at the farm" $675 per week
8am-12pm Monday thru Friday (additional times may be available, times may vary). Minimum of 6 years old. Spaces are first come, first serve; please call to reserve your space. 
Activities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • horsemanship 
  • ground work
  • horse care
  • arts and crafts horse related
  • hay rides
  • riding lessons
  • pony games
  • ranch rides
  • feeding the farm animals
 Horse Boarding and Training Amenities $850 per month:
  • Your horse will be worked with at least 5 times a week
  • Your horse will be handled every day
  • Covered stall with individual runs
  • Round Pen and Sand Arena!
  • You can visit your horse daily from 8am-8pm (summer) and 8am-6pm    (winter)
  • Costal hay available 24/7
  • Owners/Trainers live onsite, upon request we can send video/message updates of your horse and its progress!
  • Extra or specialized dietary needs are provided by the owner, we will feed them for you up to 2 times a day
  • Stall cleaning
  • Dependent on the individual horse, could free range with the rest of the herd. 
Kids pony time and riding lessons:
  • We teach you everything you need to know! Lessons are from the first horse meeting to riding off into the sunset alone

Riding lessons:
60 minutes for $60. We teach everything form basic horsemanship, groundwork. horse care, saddling and riding. We usually start on a lunge line in our round pen. The student learns how to ride in the round pen by themselves. Once the riding skills improve, we move on to our sand arena. In between the arena and round pen sessions, the students get to ride on the ranch. On our ranch, we have hills, flat and rocky terrain or we take them on a ride outside of the property on a quiet country road with some very nice scenery. We can also tour the local neighborhood.

We are also building an obstacle course to teach both horse and rider how to navigate minor to more difficult obstacles. We have various sizes of ponies and horses for different skill levels and ages.

Lesson disciplines:
  • Horsemanship, Beginner lessons, English Riding, Obstacles, Trail Riding, Liberty/Trick training.
  • We DO NOT train barrel racing, roping, reigning or cutting. ​

Pony Time:
All ages, $60 for 60 minutes. Kids get to hang out, pet, brush, feed, ride and decorate (with provided hair bows, stickers, feather boas, etc.) the pony.  Add on paint a pony for $40.

Photo Shoots:

You can rent our ponies and horses as well as our ranch for your photoshoots today! At Southerly Winds Ranch, we have large oak trees for that perfect shaded shot, a creek, barn, rock formations, fairy woods and beautiful sunsets!

Ranch Photoshoot:

Take your photos with our white, blue eyed, 54 inch unicorn or our 40 inch pony unicorn. Capture your magical shot at Southerly Winds Ranch. 

  • no colors in mane, tail or on legs. Unicorn horn included. $100 per hour or $160 for 2 hours. 

  • color of your choice in mane, tail and on legs (saddle with tutu upon request, see our gallery for examples). $130 per hour and $175 for two hours.

  • rainbow colors in mane, tail and on legs (rainbow tutu upon request). $150 per hour, $190 for 2 hours.

  • multiple or extra ponies/horses are available upon request. 

  • full size horses are also available for photoshoots. Due to the colors of the horses, we cannot color their manes, tails, etc. but we can put in colorful extensions!

  • We can also deliver horses to your photoshoot location. Please contact us for more information.

I highly recommend! Awesome place to learn horseback riding! Denise is super sweet and very knowledgeable. She can accommodate a wide range of rider experience. They have multiple horses to learn on, giving different riding experiences as well. Even in foul weather, she was able to develop lessons that worked in the barn. My daughter has been going for several months and she is greatly improved.
